My Deep Dive into UFO's, extraterrestrials, and their history

A deep dive into UFOlogy

The Calvine UFO (also known as the Calvine Sighting) was a reported sighting of an unidentified flying object (UFO) near the hamlet of Calvine in Perthshire, Scotland in August 1990

Introduction

Where to begin on a topic that is as ellusive and muddied as UFO's
Most people don't really care in general, don't care unless they are literally being abducted, dont believe in UFO's, or just don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Clearly, something is going on here. It is deeply frustrating to research a topic like this one because it is extremely interesting and equally crazy. As one descends down the rabbit hole, things get weirder and weirder and it becomes more difficult to discern what is real and what is fake misinformation spread by disinformation campaigns created by the CIA to muddy the waters and create doubt - similar to tabacco or oil companies creating doubt about their products unhealthiness (to the self and environment respectively).

Annotated Bibliography

Notion Webpage Annotated Bibliography on extraterrestrails, UAP's, etc.

After researching and compiling sources into a Notion webpage (which I update periodically with new sources and annotations), I read a book which basically sums up the history of UFO/UAP's, including only the most notable evidence that is most difficult to dispute. This book by physicist Karl Svozil, titled "UFOs Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon: Observations, Explanations, and Speculations" is a great synopsis on the topic that goes over the entire scholarly discussion of the topic from pre-modern times (i.e. theories of UFO's in Sumerian texts and the Bhagavad Gita) to the modern sightings pre- and post- Trinity.

My Zine Artwork

Following a pleasant reading of this book, I felt compelled to release my excitement about the subject in an artpiece - a "Zine", short for magazine. A Zine is a small book that takes clippings from magazines to make an artwork, it can be informative, or deeply abstract. The physical copy can be found at Western Washington University, Bellingham WA, in the Underground Coffeehouse Zine Collection. Here is the zine:
